Museum

Discover Ancient Egypt
Take a journey through what life was like in Ancient Egypt at the time of the Pharaohs, our informative interactive Museum tells the story of life in Ancient Times
Between Land and Sea tells the story of Sefton’s Coast, from prehistoric to modern day tells the story of how Sefton evolved and how Southport became a coastal town.
Both areas are fun for all ages, with interactive exhibits, quizzes, dress up for all ages, picture trails to follow and games to play!


Family Friendly Exhibitions & Workshops

Inspired By Alice
Take a tumble down the rabbit hole and enter the magical world of Alice in Wonderland. Dress up as Alice and join in the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, find the Cheshire Cat and take a peep through the keyhole.
This interactive exhibition is suitable for all ages, highlights include prints drawn by Salvador Dali for the Alice in Wonderland book.

11am – 3pm, drop-in activities led by artist in residence Lisa Langan

Bessie Downes: Flowers of the Southport Coast
Featuring beautiful watercolour illustrations, you can draw and recreate your own flowers in the craft corner

Flower Power
Tuesday 13 August, 11am – 3pm
Become a Botanist like Bessie with this family workshop where you can study flowers under a microscope

Back from the Brink is saving England’s most threatened species from extinction. Find out more about the work they do and join in with their craft activity and a nature quiz.
