The Landing: Manchester Academy of Fine Arts Exhibition

The new Landing exhibition was launched on Saturday 6 July with a well-attended preview event. Chairman Malcolm Taylor gave a wonderful welcome speech which was well received.

Manchester Academy of Fine Arts has submitted an exciting and diverse collection of work from a selection of their 114 Members, some of whom are also elected members of other national art societies including the Royal Society of British Artists, The Royal Institute of Oil Painters, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and many others.

Artists exhibiting works are Michael Ashworth, David Barrow, Derek Boak, Vincent Bottomly, Janice Bowie, David Brammeld, Mary Campbell, Janina Cerbertowicz, Ron Coleman, Sheila Dewsbury, Alan Edwards, David Edwards, Jean Fenton, Gerry Halpin, Kevin Haynes, Angela Herd Hall, Peter Holt, Pam Ibbotson, Jo Jenkins, Chris Lawson, Norman Long, Kath Lowe, John McCombs, Joanne Risley, Estella Scholes, Sarah Sharpe, Antony Smart, John Grey Skinner, Stephen Smith, Christine Southward, David Sprakes, John Sprakes, Peter Stanway, Barbara Sykes, Malcolm Taylor, Amrik Varkalis, Ulrich West, Brian Woods and Herbert Yates.

Over forty artists represent the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts in their current exhibition at The Atkinson – there’s a wonderful diverse show on offer and most artwork is for sale – the show runs until 10th August.
